Other Opportunities

Fundraising Committees

Each of JASEB’s fund raisers uses a group of volunteers to plan and organize the event. These include the crab feed in March, the Bowlathon in the spring, the golf tournament in August and the calendar which is sent out in November.

Community Service Projects

On occasion, groups of volunteers can work on short-term projects such as cleaning/repairing a yard for a senior, help with a mail-out, etc.

Board of Directors

JASEB has a dedicated Board of Directors who set policy, raise funds and plan the direction of the agency. Although many of the seats are for representative of member organizations, additional seats represent the community-at-large. The board meets monthly and board members are asked to serve on committees.

Community Education

Providing information on a subject or interest to groups of seniors. This can also include outreach presentations to seniors or community groups.

Internships

JASEB works with several colleges and universities to provide placement for internships and for community service work.
